Statistical power analysis addresses the question “How large a sample do I need?” In this course, you’ll be introduced to the concepts of sample-size estimation, including when and why this might be necessary. We will cover the basic principles of precision-based and power-based sample size calculations. Using an Excel template developed by our trainers, we will learn how to perform sample size calculations, as well as discuss practical examples and issues.
